Veterans

As a well deserved thank you to our veterans, we offer "no-donation (free)" supporting memberships to all veterans with honorable or medical discharges.  Veteran's in need are also welcome to apply for "no-donation" cannabis.

Compassionate Care Program (CCP)

In 2011, B.C.C. provided "no-donation" cannabis over 30 times a week to a variety of patients who otherwise would not have been able to care for themselves.  In total B.C.C. gave away 7179 grams of medicine (15.81 lbs) to patients enrolled in our compassion program.  In cash, this equates to over $70,000 in medical cannabis and related goods or just about 8% of total program revenue.  The funds dedicated to the compassion program are double what we pay our highest earning empoyee.

The Boulder Creek Collective  Compassionate Care Program is designed to provide support to members who otherwise may not be able to afford medical cannabis.  The first level of support is the provision of "no-donation" supporting memberships to patients who otherwise can't participate.  This effectively lowers the donation rate to under $10/gram for all medical cannabis and gives equivalent savings for other products as well.   Patient's with terminal illnesses, fixed incomes, permanent and temporary disabilities, Section 8 Housing and/or other related issues are frequently eligible for donation free supporting memberships.  Patient's who cannot otherwise afford to make a donation for their medicine may also be eligible for free cannabis.  For every 10 members who fully particpate in our supporting member program, Boulder Creek Collective provides free cannabis to a member who otherwise cannot afford it.  In order to participate in our compassion program, you must be a member of the Boulder Creek Collective and participate in our compassion program evaluation.  If you would like to comment or ask a question regarding our compassion program, email us at compassion@bouldercreekcollective.org.  You may also email us if you would like to make a donation in support of our compassion program.

Joining the Compassion Care Program (CCP)

The CCP is for patients who require medical cannabis for symptom control but cannot afford it.  Eligibilty for CCP is determined on a case by case basis.  Members who apply for CCP are asked to participate in a 5-15 minute interview.  During the interview the member provides information regarding their financial situation, the state of their illness, and their willingness to participate in the activities of the collective.   This information is scored using our CCP evaluation tool and the members with the highest scores are awarded up to a six month grant of medical cannabis aid.  The size and length of the grant is directly related to the results of each individual's evaluation.  Members who want to improve their chances of receiving a grant will bring proof of income and documentation of their illness from their healthcare provider.   Standard CCP applications take 7-10 business days to process.   In the case of severely ill members and members with poor symptom control, medicine is frequently granted prior to the completion of the intake process.  This takes place at the discretion of the nurse on duty.
